I've had stomach pains the past few weeks, and already saw a doctor who gave me a medication. A friend told me to drink water mixed with psyllium husks to alleviate stomach pain. Has anyone ever used this stuff before?

Oh, I had to deal with Kidney Stones recently. Get the endoscopic laser treatment. You'll wake up feeling better after you piss out the rubble. Do it; it's worth it.

@LoliHat @s8n @augustus @noyoushutthefuckupdad @hakui i remember in dan simmon's hyperion there's a scene where the protagonists things he got hit with a pain weapon because he feels the most pain that he could imagine but it turns out it was just kidney stones. guess that was written from experience.

@lain @s8n @augustus @hakui @LoliHat Dune is the quintessential "creative and cool, but badly written" sci-fi. it's hard to find both qualities.

Ender's Game and Speaker For the Dead are similarly briliant, IMO. essential science fiction.
