I used to maintain a good faith belief in these people. Thinking that even if I disagree with many many parts of how they do things, in the end we still share the common goal of wanting to make the linux desktop a better system to use.
Clearly this is not the case anymore. This is a blatant attempt of forcing their corpo views into the linux ecosystem. There is no good faith anymore, there seemingly never has been any god faith. This feels like the start of an embrace, expand, extinguish plan.
