Young people today will never understand what a fucking experience it was going to the Computer Lab. That was the only place that Computers lived, and you went to that place when you wanted to use them. Everyone was very excited to do some Computing and Word Processing, and maybe part of your assignment involved printing a document. Hopefully someone hadn't lost the mouse ball since the last time you were there.

It was all so very innocent.

@prettygood I used to make cool stories with Storybook Weaver and design stupid posters with MS Publisher with pics drawn in paint.

@prettygood I grew up with a computer room that was a crt monitor and Gateway mouse in the laundry room.
I had 15 minutes a day on it and this was my only contact with the internet in the mid oughts until I got a Nintendo dsi.
I spent all the time playing Miniclip games.
