@phnt This is barely an exaggeration. A few years back when I was trying to determine if there was a straightforward method to set custom icons for drives, I found a Microsoft support request from someone looking to do just what I was investigating, as they wanted a way to visually identify network drives based on which system or building they were in, online or offline. Microsoft's retarded support told them to change the general hard drive icon.
It took me fifteen minutes of thinking and poking through the registry, but I found a simple-ish way to do it. Lamentably, the support request was a decade old at the time, so I couldn't really help anymore. I put the instructions on my website, under Win95 Tips and Tricks.

@BrokenSword Yep, I know. It's completely useless when 99% of the answers is some indian telling your to sfc /scannow and install updates with the comment after that "didn't fix". pics related
