@p Pete I tried to sign up for your instance, but got a 502. I had to try on my computer and use dev tools to figure that out, because the registration form was expecting a JSON response but your site returned HTML.
@ktaxi Ha, wow, yeah? FSE is "unreliably open", like, there's some stuff I have to turn on or it 502s and we got pedophiles and I didn't wanna deal, then lately we've been dealing with this completely fucked scraper situation so until that's fixed I figure people are better off on instances that a scraper isn't flooding. When I come up with a solution (even massive ridiculous solutions have lately been keeping out *only* people from fedi and the scraper keeps going) I'll fix that. My solution might end up being absurd.
@p @ktaxi We had one join and it was hammered by the search sentinel immediately. Somebody using Akamai maybe a VPN or something. You should have an email about it but here's the UA and IP (Richardson TX so it's a DC IP)
