I remember my art teachers from school to art college being very against anime-like styles, because it's apparently "derivative, unoriginal, promotes bad drawing habits, destroys your ability to find a proper style" and a host of other sort-of-reasons.
They would hate everything I did in the past 10 years or so, I guess.
Not to mention being completely disappointed that I branched out into writing as well.
But not being popular kinda is my thing. One of the few good things about getting older: You stop caring so much what others think of you and just do your own thing.
And I am happy with most of my creations. They're fun to make. And that is what counts, after all.
