the wedding at cana is pretty hilarious, how mary is like "jesus, we ran out of wine" and he reacts insanely annoyed, like "MOM, i'm LITERALLY GOD, leave me alone with your stupid errands!!" but she knows he'll do it anyway and immediately tells the staff to just do what he says.

@georgia @lain Going "come oooon mom, more chores? can't I have a moment to sit down?" is not being cruel, it's being normal. The point of Jesus' incarnation is to live and understand the human condition fully and still forgive humanity being fully aware of it, so this is 100% canonical behaviour.
I think you focus too much in the idealized vision of Jesus to the point you sideline the conceptual reason for Jesus. He wasn't perfect in the sense of living a completely spotless life like some buddha, that would have gone directly against his function, and would have greatly undermined his ability to blend in and have human relationships, in turn making it impossible to let him experience life as a man.
@nerthos @lain he was sinless. as an incarnation of God he was more spotless than the buddha who only became sinless. but I just read multiple translations of john 2 and he doesnt sound cruel to her like he does in the KJV imo. I guess calling her "woman" just sounds cruel in english. but apparently Catholic interpretation uses that as proof she is the new eve, and the miracle at cana is her intercession? thats not unreasonable.
