The #Radicle web interface for the #HardenedBSD main seed node is getting hit hard by AI bots.
For now, while I figure things out, I've killed the daemon.
This really freaking sucks. No matter what I do, I feel like I'm being punished. All of my available time and energy is spent on taking care of things I don't want to. I'd much rather be advancing the state of the art exploit mitigations or helping address human rights issues.
But no, not only am I negatively impacted by the selfishness of others, but HardenedBSD's users are too.
We cannot build packages unless this httpd instance is online. ports-mgmt/pkg depends on it.
So, I'm not sure what to do. I take a bit of an extreme position on not blocking anything inbound. Blocking IPs runs contrary to my beliefs regarding access to our infrastructure: access should be universally granted, no matter how much of an idiot you are.
But now those idiots are screwing things up for everyone. Just so they can line their pockets off my hard work, pain, and misery.
Well, I guess joke's on them now since the resource is offline.
