@sounddrill @toast @lanodan @lottie @navi rossmann is a kiwifarms user (genuinely verified too) and bigot and he’s an annoying small business owner who is really capitalistic and pro-capitalism

i dislike Rossman for a lot of things, but afaik he only used the kiwifarms account to correct misinfo said about himself, so i don't really count that
the pro-capitalism "pull yourself by the bootstraps" right-wing views is more of a landmark tbh
Just because I'm tired of seeing the supposed "harassment" point being regurgitated all the time by Micay and by proxy others, here's Rossmann's KF account: https://kiwifarmsaaf4t2h7gc3dfc5ojhmqruw2nit3uejrpiagrxeuxiyxcyd.onion/members/larossmann.132201/ If you look through it, you'll see basically nothing of value except around the BwE being a nonce time.
If the "swatting" and "attempted murder" seem unreal, here's the source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4To-F6W1NT0
Daniel which seems like should be getting some break and therapy, and of course roughly since Rossman's video.
And youtubers choosing to be *that* irresponsible ought to get serious pushback on this if not even sued. It's like the worst of tabloid journalists.
I do not care about that stuff on KF public side of things because I'm not saying that Rossman has blood on his hands.

8I think it is very important to point out that a maintainer and lead developer (the official step down was only a part step down and not real) of a popular Android ROM focused on privacy is led by a paranoid schizophrenic that is also a pathological liar and manipulator. Why? Because I can't trust an operating system like that to live on my phone, maintained by someone that thinks everybody that disagrees/criticizes him is ought to get him and can do basically anything he wants to my device.
There's no question about that he needs help. He needed it for the last 3+ years at least. But the world should also know how Daniel behaves when being told to calm down and stop making wild interpolations and accusations against someone over a single youtube comment.
In the state GrapheneOS currently is, while Daniel Micay is still involved in the project, I simply cannot trust it. And I honestly hope that the recent Motorola partnership will result in him loosing access to the GrapheneOS social media accounts at least, because he can't stop shit talking and making wild accusations basically against everyone. CalyxOS, F-Droid, Sailfish, ...
Except what Rossman did wasn't showing things like lies or inconsistencies or say an interview, but showing Daniel crashing out in his DMs (something a bit sus on Rossman side of things for it to happen as he recorded).
Also I have 0 trust in the vast majority of Android-based OS, so much of it behaves like a junior-high school playground where it's more important to shoot others down including in the worst ways possible rather than cooperate.
(btw I've used SailfishOS circa 2016-2020 and then feature phone since, because I want a device that works reliably as a phone, while the rest is extremely secondary, smartphones are ass-backwards for this)
>On that side anyone who looks at the GrapheneOS account knows, at least when it comes to the fedi account.
I think the fedi account is actually shared between at least two people. Or at least used to be. The writing style isn't always the same. The Xitter account is only managed by Daniel I think though.

Yes, after being told he's complicit in attempts at murdering him (,none of which where ever attempted to be proven btw, just like 99% of the arguments in the endless threads about this.) I think that is mostly justified thing to do. Especially if being threated with being "exposed", which I couldn't find in the chat logs... If Gargron of Mastodon repeatedly crashed out in someone's DMs and then accused them of being complicit in swattings and attempted murders against him, I think that would also leak. Just like this leaked. But enough said.

Same, I don't trust basically any Android ROM at this point after the development stopped being public on XDA Developers Forums and moved to private Telegram chats. XDA Forums at least had some level of credibility and you could see what the developer did before, and if that was enough to trust them.
At this point, I can only trust LineageOS. CalyxOS would be the second OS, but that is now dead after Google stopped releasing the sources on a frequent basis. And who knows how long will Lineage survive. When it comes to phones, I'm seriously very close to just buying an iToddler device, if Google decides to kill F-Droid and APK installs.
@phnt @lanodan @me @lottie @navi is that still the case with the xitter account?
A dev from our friend group got caught in a feud very recently and was accused of brigading over telegram groups by that account for pointing out a gap in security and how apps are built. I think I remember the graphene handler pulling up his credentials(github link and more) with little to no context.
Not sure though, I only vaguely remember details, it's been a hot minute... I could be misunderstanding things too
The fedi account is at times way calmer compared to what I've always seen on Xitter when I decide to look probably once or twice a year. An easy way to be sure is to just look at the size of the threads. If it is a giant wall of text that barely anybody replies to, or a wall of text sparked by a single reply, it is mostly likely Daniel who wrote those posts.
