@bajax @lain I think that's probably the least of worries most people should have with solar. House fires are increasing and somewhat proportional with the number of installed solar panels on roofs. Contractors do shoddy work thinking it's just low-voltage electricity and then your house burns down.

Not to mention that it's yet another thing that attracts heat in the summer, so temperatures under the insulated roof are unbearable without AC in the summer (worse than usual).

Passive solar works but there's no money in it. Heating hot water with the sun isn't very sexy boi.
