Also, I remain unconvinced The West was the first civilization to realize that an electrical conductor cutting through a magnetic field generates electric current. It’s too simple. Somebody else must’ve figured it out.

@kuteboicoder With useful electric current, it’s a pretty elementary level of basic understanding - but also a rather sophisticated degree of metallurgy to make machine-culture practical.
Batteries, on the other hand, are much more forgiving; some people dispute Baghdad Batteries actually were - but I don’t. I think they were used for electroplating.
