Isn't a generic AP server one that ingests anything and shoves it into the outbox... like a mail transfer agent?

I mean, sure, you can do stuff in between, like spam detection, blocklists, etc etc etc...

My quick read through of the FEP (and it was quick, because it was a short FEP ) seems to confirm this.

@silverpill@mitra.social I'm sorry you feel that way. I agree that I suppose there hasn't been a lot of true R&D lately, though a lot of that could be we're just shipping with little fanfare.

@julian@fietkau.social yes I did! Lots of stuff is not captured by the FEP process, which is fine (it's overly formal compared to writing your own docs), but it's absolutely essential for getting others to implement it.

@stefan@stefanbohacek.online Thanks for sharing, this is huge news! I've been using share-nodes and circle-nodes in NodeBB to represent fediverse stuff (or @liaizon@social.wake.st's asterisms), but I will likely switch over to this once we update our FontAwesome library
