@graf @phnt @ins0mniak @p @madonline >they provide socks, http proxies, you get it all
They don't do Shadowsocks/VLESS or any of the other DPI-evading protocols; I think xeovo.com are the only one who do if you don't count various Telegram-advertised shady services that die within one month. Still, better to make your own, there's no practical benefit to paid VPN services over your own on some VPS aside from being able to switch locations on the whim.
@pista @phnt @ins0mniak @p @graf @madonline I think most just use Xray with protocols that mimic legitimate HTTPS traffic, often routed through various CDNs. This is less effective in Russia since they're just blanket banning entire "high-risk" ASNs if you do as much as initiate a connection that looks suspicious to them; Hetzner and OVH are among them, traffic gets dropped after 16kb or so. This includes even torrent DHT so I can't access a good chunk of technical resources without some kind of proxy.

yeah so when I ran an old tracker hetzner was like 37% of the hosts with cloudflare being almost 50% the remainder being home isps etc. I'm sure nothing has changed so it would be a lot of exemptions and that many routes with iptables (or ipset) would slow the webserver down hard
