@Sideshow_Jane The stealership delayed delivery of my Durango from Friday until tomorrow after the salesman lying to me about it for 3 days and me yelling at the owner of the dealership about it (they offered me a 250$ visa gift card ???????) they put me in a brand new 2026 Silverado that had 6km on the odometer. Drove it to take my ex's mom out for drinks and home (about 260km in total on the odometer). They fucked up because that truck will never be worth full sticker price now, not even within 15k of that price just because of the mileage on it BUT--

The dash is nothing but gigantic screens. Like. 40" wide of screen between the cluster and the radio/nav. It's absolutely unnecessarily big and wide. Same for the frame. Why are they making trucks that size?
@AsukaNeko @Sideshow_Jane I had no intent to buy it. They gave me the truck to use at my leisure for the weekend because they lied to me 3 times about delivery, including once on Friday morning when I could have booked a rental if I needed one for my plans for the weekend. I told them when they called me at nearly 5PM that you can't get a decent rental at 5pm on a friday anywhere so they gave me a brand new pickup truck to try to make it better but I'm still going to shit on them tomorrow when I'm (supposed) to take delivery

They burned a new vehicle because they took all the shit off that you see from factory (window sticker, etc). Anything under 100km is acceptable for new AFAIK, or at least it was years ago. Maybe it changed with all the indians wanting to test drive cars and taking them out for the day and bobbing their head when they return it, who knows. But 10-15 years ago letting somebody burn that much on a brand new vehicle was a 10 grand kick in the nuts
@AsukaNeko @Sideshow_Jane No the funny thing was the whole issue was over it being delivered (it came across the border and through Quebec for some reason). They had it at 5pm but they had to have it inspected for a (3rd?) time and they couldn't plate it Friday because the Canadian DMV isn't open past 430PM and not on the weekend.

The guy who is on the sales record for it told me 4PM. then 4-4:30PM the second time he told me. Then he called me the day of delivery 15 mins before 5PM to tell me the delivery truck couldn't take some section of some northern ontario highway (why they did this I have no idea) and it was delayed. I asked when it departed -- 9am -- the distance from where it was to where I am is 4 hours, 5pm they still "didnt have it"

I drove past the lot this morning and it's there with it's stickers and it's plated. I have it insured already. So if there's any mileage on it I'm going to refuse delivery
