@Elliptica @fknretardlol @HockeyDoxie @adequate Mid-2000s Hyundai Accent (and by extension the Elantra because it's functionally the same) as well as the Kia Rio because they are the same platform. I had to make a tool out of threaded rod and steel plates to use as a hammer to break free a caveated wheel bearing that fused to the half shaft. Took me 30 minutes of straight smashing to break it free. Never again will I ever work on one of those pieces of shit for any amount of money
@Elliptica @fknretardlol @HockeyDoxie @adequate Anybody I've ever known with a Toyota has never had any real problems with them aside from general maintenance and replacement of common wear-and-tear parts (alternator, starter, etc). I worked for Denso so I personally would never buy a Toyota because that place was a revolving door of college girls who's sole purpose at that plant was to ride the production control cock carousel. Zero attention to QA on any of their HVACs (they were also making for the Ford Edge and Flex I think at that time).

I have no opinion on Subaru. I wanted to buy a station wagon and I looked at the Outback and decided if I'm going SUV style/size I would just go with the Durango because it's bigger, beefier. I got the blacktop package too so everything is blacked out. It's a banger for sure
