@georgia @pettanko actually agree it's not good, but I do enjoy that some of the people that kiss china's ass also hate stem-focusers and pro-ai so now they have to deal with the contradiction.

if the article is even true, reporting about china is notoriously bad in the english-speaking world

@mischievoustomato @georgia @pettanko there used to be tons of articles about "CHINESE GHOST CITIES THEY BUILT BUT NOBODY LIVES IN LOL" fast forward ten years later and they are full of people and thriving, not a peep from the China-haters.

I don't hate China, I like it in a lot of ways, but I am not going to either kiss its ass or criticize it for every single thing.

@sun @georgia @pettanko interesting. Same here. I did use to fall to the "woah China sux" kind of stuff, but they actually seem to care about their own people, and I'd say the avg chinese can probably dream of a better place in the future. I cant say the same hahahahah
