@georgia @salt pretty much every transfem class in antiquity and indigenous cultures have had shamanistic roles but y'know centuries of being systematically excluded from participating in society and forced into poverty and sex work has not been great for our ability to keep any of these traditions alive. though some still remember the old ways and are trying to bring back our rightful priestess status
