honestly shocked at the amount of "mayavada" in the uddhava gita. read plainly it really does look like advaita vedanta, but elsewhere in the purana it looks more like something from ramanuja

@georgia I see. ive been interested just bc my grandma keeps telling me about it and I have been interested in learning more about my own culture. I also am a fan of reading philosophy and I need to read stuff that isnt just western

@pry the Mahabharata is long as fuck and krishna isnt really the main character. its okay to just read the bhagavad gita. the relationship between Krishna's life and the bhagavad gita isnt like the synoptic gospels and the sermon on the mount. I also recommend reading the upanishads. to start easwarans books are very good. after that maybe read the Brahma sutras with a commentary you like.
