@eris I had it once cuz it opened up across the street from a Walmart we frequented.
Then I moved here and got food from an actual Chinese place. Unless you're very particular about the experience, actual Chinese is better. Cuz somehow the one type of restaurant in this country that will actually fill you up for cheap is them.

McDonald's for ten bucks will do one meal for me. Happy China for ten bucks is 3-4 meals.

@Paradox I still think a lot of what people consider actual Chinese food is American Chinese food, like those cheap but fill you up places aren't authentic either

They are really good though. And better to support a mom and pop there than Panda

I've seen some funny meltdowns about Irish Chinese food being so different from the typical perceptions of Westernized Chinese food. Spice bags don't seem particularly Chinese or even Chinese inspired, but they were invented by Chinese immigrants for Chinese restaurants, much like most of the American Chinese dishes that lack any basis in cuisine from China, and they're seen as a typical Chinese food.
