We've been doing sight words with our oldest (4) for just under three weeks and he's up to almost 20 words now. We add a new one most days.
For reference, he wouldn't be in Kindergarten next year, but the following year (late birthday).
He can already read the most basic of books ("the cat ran", etc.) and I expect he'll be reading at a Baltimore 10th grade level by next month.
