@ellenor2000 theres breakthrough bleeding if you do that. you can't stop it completely without becoming very thin or going on testosterone.
@georgia @ellenor2000 what you gotta do is increase the speed of menstrual cycles, with a couple years suffering we can fast track you to menopause
@technolyze @georgia I don't think that works and that would be far too unpleasant anyway #lang_en
@ellenor2000 @technolyze nah I bet it works I'm gonna try it
@georgia @technolyze if you don't plan on having any kids, hysterectomies exist? #lang_en

@ellenor2000 @technolyze nah I dont like the idea of a major surgery like that.
@georgia @ellenor2000 @technolyze oophorectomies exist, my dog had one. laparoscopic, tiny incision. only took her ovaries.
@feld @ellenor2000 @technolyze I dont want an oophorectomy thats instant menopause which seems unpleasant. osteoporosis risk, hot flashes, neurological effects, etc
@feld @ellenor2000 @georgia while we have all these possible medical issues, the neutered and spayed animals do live longer despite that , eunuchs also tended to live to be pretty old
@feld @georgia @technolyze and that causes bone damage, she'd need to take estrogen for the rest of her life to avert that. #lang_en
@ellenor2000 @georgia heard getting those approved covered by insurance is insanely hard , medical establishment really all up in that bizness
@technolyze @ellenor2000 this is true. a fedi friend with really bad endometriosis has to get one and they fought her over it because she was young and had no kids.
