@eee A reminder to never buy electric cars
@eee Oh boy! A car with no door handles! How cool and futuristic! I want my life to be in the hands of a solenoid!
@snappler engineers and managers responsible for this should be beaten with bricks until their attitude has been sufficiently adjusted
@eee I cannot imagine having an event like this hurt someone and not suing. How does it pass basic safety? How do we have mandated rearview cameras but not mandated physical door handles?
@eee Just another reason for not getting an EV.
But did you know China bad? Checkmate chud.
@Dudebro @Titanbreakerkun @eee What I hate most about them is how they openly lobby for deals that are in the best interests of their people instead of hollowing out their economy for ridiculous, immaterial gains.
@eee I am reminded that in China, Chinese can bribe someone to get their drivers license. And this is supposedly common practice for social status.
But did you know they just build cities for no reason? I mean it doesnt employ nationals or help them do r&d on building techniques or anything.
@Some_German_Guy @eee I keep these in the car and one on my keys and gave one to my mom:

And my Leatherman has a glass punch. Car fires happen real fast.

@Dudebro @Titanbreakerkun @eee What's funny is that a little bit of deeper research shows that most of those are planned future use areas for expanding cities in a considered way. A lot of them are built next to existing, smaller, older cities that would be a pain to tear down and redevelop.
Some were largely empty when the US news corpos covered them but are filling up rapidly as businesses expand and people move over from older homes, I think I heard there was financial assistance from the government sometimes as well.
And the shit that fell down and had corners cut ended up having a lot of the people involved imprisoned or executed.
