@domi @gabboman @GroupNebula563 @mothcompute Instead of doing that, why not make a "repeated" Collection where the origin inserts Actors that repeated the post. That way when another instance sees the posts and fetches it, it already knows who repeated it. You could then use the existence of such Collection in the Object as an indicator for remote instances that they can re-fetch the Object or Collection at a later time to get current state.
Kinda like how Mastodon, GTS and now Pleroma give a "replies" Collection for a post. It's jank, but less jank.
