@grishka it actually is quite easier for iOS devs, even 15 years ago when Instagram shipped their first iOS only app.

On iOS you have a solid foundation, with a stable cohort of devices, a dozen or less for each platform.

That's why I respect Android devs like you much more, because it's a wild west of devices and constraints. You are much more cognizant of performance than an iOS dev would be, which often leads to better UX

Then, I saw the perfect job and applied, not expecting to get it, but still doing everything I could to try to sustain full time development.

The open nature of fediverse platforms should be more celebrated.

Twitter, Reddit, Instagram and many more platforms closed off API access, and shut out 3rd party developers to monetize every available surface.

Meanwhile, the fediverse is thriving with app developers creating experiences outside of official apps, and everyone loves that.

That is freedom.

We can't take it for granted.

Loops is open source and federated with ActivityPub, not sure how it could be more open or decentralized lol

we can also make a browser extension to require you to be sober or lit before you can make a post or other things.
