what does it matter when it’s fiat money? $100 for a burger is nothing when you’ll get $50,000 per month UBI.
a better measure is how many hours does the person work to afford the burger. and I would bet that’s less favorable than it used to be. yet somehow the burger places stay in business.

The problem is that the CPI has become this fictitious imaginary thing that has absolutely nothing to do with real world costs anymore. They're claiming inflation is 5% but people are showing real prices have doubled over the past couple of years.
So yes, they are making everyone poorer.
