That might be AN issue, but I think the bigger issue is that Iran is on war footing now, so if the US turns tail and runs, there's no reason why they shouldn't be willing to keep fighting - i.e. invade Iraq, Bahrain, Kuwait, UAE, and even KSA.
If the US runs, and then Iran invades Iraq, what does the US do - stop running and go back and fight again? There's no reason why fighting them in Iraq is going to go any better than fighting them in Iran.
So the US is bleeding out holding a domino because once they let go, all of the dominos start falling - and it ends with the entire middle east becoming an Islamic empire.

Iran will not invade Iraq. Local resistance groups will create an autonomous space in Eastern Iraq and force government recognition. With Iranian help, of course.
Then Iraq, Shia Mesopotamia and Iran invade Kuwait together.

Nobody likes Kuwait. Especially the Kuwaitis.
