This is like, everyone's strategy in every war. But what ends up happening (every single time) is nobody believes them except their own analysts and they end up convincing themselves that they're doing great - only to get beat upside the head by reality when it becomes undeniable...

Something like:

I didn't say it wasn't, I just said everybody does it.

There are a few exceptions, but these are like guerrilla fighters who are very attentive to their weaknesses because they think they are going to lose, but they adapt and push on anyway...

I think people are starting to wake up to it. Sophisticated decision makers (investors) are well aware. What's perpetually amazing is how supposedly serious geopolitical analysts are forever getting tricked by propaganda that is being created just down the hall from them.
