Gentle reminder of the massive Prosecution Gap during the Vietnam War.

'By 1970, the Selective Service and the Justice Department were drowning in paperwork. In some major cities, prosecutors were dropping 99% of draft cases because they simply didn't have the resources to take thousands of young men to trial.'

1) Do not comply wherever possible.
2) Change addresses and phone numbers without informing the authorities.
3) Get a friendly doctor to diagnose you with anxiety or similar right now and provide you with Xanax or Zoloft (do not take them but get them issued and keep the scripts).
4) Leave the country suddenly and without forewarning (ideally at night).
The lever they're gonna try to pull here is disabling peoples' bank accounts. Because it's the only thing they can do without having to ask someone to do it (that person will say no).

But the thing is, they have three problems:
1. If they turn off too many bank accounts, a big part of the economy will just disappear off the map and they're worse off than before
2. If they turn off the wrong peoples' bank accounts, those guys are gonna be like "well fuckit, you brought the war to me, you're gonna burn" and then they have civil war problems
3. Even if they're relatively controlled about it, they're building a shadow economy which WILL be used against them the moment there is any kind of civil unrest...
