I think the real problem for Trump is he has never in his life encountered someone that's actually guided by conviction of right and wrong.
He was a real estate guy in New York, then he was a TV guy, I'm sure everyone he ever met was corrupt, they could all be bought off, or bullied. So he never learned that when you meet a guy like this, you leave him the fuck alone.
People who are guided by sincere moral convictions are like Angels walking the earth. If you're a business dude, they're sometimes going to be a nuisance to you, sometimes a nuisance to your enemy, but they are NOT something that you can engage with. They exist on a different plane.
