8Pleroma and Mastodon can see the quoted post. What about others?
@silverpill I tested it on my wafrn instance and my friend's Sharkey instance and it works fine, only iceshrimp.net can't handle it.
@silverpill misskey can handle it too, but I dunno whether gotosocial support quote because I haven't use it for a long time, but I checked and saw posts from minimitra account can be handled, so it should be fine.
@caohuak Nice, thank you for testing!

Disappointing. I used a simplified @context, assuming that it would be enough for Iceshrimp, but apparently their parser is even more aggressive than Mastodon's.
@silverpill yeah when I was testing nomad nine months ago and iceshrimp.net also had federation issues, so this isn't a mitra-side issue.

@caohuak nomad had no @context, but minimitra has "@context": "https://www.w3.org/ns/activitystreams". This works with Mastodon, so I am going to leave it as is.
@caohuak I mean it's okay when people want to use JSON-LD but they shouldn't impose it on the rest of the network.
@silverpill >but they shouldn't impose it on the rest of the network.
yeah this is just going to create more work for other developers.
