I was born in Minnesota, my mom grew up there on my grandparents' dairy farm, I'm a graduate of U of M-Twin Cities, and yes I am proud to call myself Minnesotan today.
I am also unsurprised to see so many people working to protect their community in the butt-ass cold. That's the Minnesota I know. Folks might not be especially effusive or outwardly warm but they do care about their neighbors.
