@bajax I hate twitter. If I wanted to hear what retards have to say Id go hang out at the greyhound station.
@ins0mniak hey I learned a lot at greyhound stations
@bajax prob more than you could on twitter haha
@ins0mniak look at this retarded shit. I know why it's like this, the line breaks make it take up more physical space on people's screens so they're more likely to see it as they're scrolling but holy shit I feel like a retard trying to read it
@bajax @ins0mniak I can't believe this.
Breaking paragraphs just to capture the limited space on someone's screen...
Nefarious!
Best to write in prose.
@mischievoustomato @ins0mniak nigger you were put on this planet to piss me off and you always succeed
@bajax @ins0mniak Could be worse, they haven't discovered r*ddit spacing yet.
@phnt @ins0mniak ok tomato take notes
@mischievoustomato @ins0mniak oh my god i'm so mad
@bajax @phnt @ins0mniak isnt newline-paragraph-breaking the same as the "reddit spacing"? I do it when writing big ass parapgraphs since it makes reading easier.
@mischievoustomato @bajax @ins0mniak Reddit spacing is when you use two line breaks to separate a paragraph
like this
like this
@phnt @bajax @ins0mniak oh, OH. I guess it'd be more accurate to call it markdownbrain
@bajax @mischievoustomato @ins0mniak The best markdown quiz question is "How do you force a line break without making a new paragraph." I think there are three ways to do it and usually only one works in every parser.
@phnt @bajax @ins0mniak @mischievoustomato markdown is ass because markdown.pl is bad for webpages which is what it was made for and goyhub markdown et al is a comment section markup designed for making webpages
I cope by only using pandoc markdown for webpages (which it is actually good for and naturally comes with a prettyfier) and nothing else ever

@menherahair @mischievoustomato @bajax @ins0mniak If I could wrap my head around rst, I would use it instead of Markdown.
t. used rst like 2 times
Also being able to insert arbitrary LaTeX into pandoc markdown is comfy, because doing things like images in Markdown sucks and html is meh for it as well.
