When a carbon monoxide detector goes off, I often question whether it is a real concern or not.

Today I texted my landlord to see if he has a device to check the actual levels. He did not, but the gas company came and they detected it was a legitimate concern.

Anyways, at least it is a sunny day! β˜€οΈ

Most important part is the batteries for sure. I had one go off in the night. I went back to sleep and my girl called 911. I woke back up to being evacuated and told if the detector didn't go off, I wouldn't have ever woke up. Kids had carbon monoxide in their blood at the hospital. You did the right thing. Enjoy the sun and be safe.

Not sure of your state but I THINK that is not legal in the US. Working on gas = license obligatory.

Not that you really care, if it's done right, you're fine, but not calling an HVAC guy is cutting corners.

t. 3 out of 5 uncles are HVAC guys
