@Velveteen This is why I am dead against shared community block lists. Too many people just want to shut people up for no reason.
@edgeofeurope yeah they're ridiculous. Block list support is for lazy admins who get their instance into too much trouble too frequently. You should never have so much of a moderation burden on your instance that you require tools like block list subscriptions or tools that survey every post coming and going on the whole network and automatically flag accounts and posts that match certain key elements.
@edgeofeurope a lot of fediverse admins act like the entire fediverse is theirs to maintain like a garden instead of keeping themselves to themselves and focusing on the experience of the users on their instance
