I'd only heard it referred to in our circles as "the 1965 immigration act" without realizing it was also known as the Hart-Celler Act, being sponsored by Philip Hart and Emmanuel Celler.
We got unchecked third world immigration
and lost our identity
to a bill called the Heart-Seller Act?
