@SuperDicq @sun I've never gotten more than 5mbps through CD. I don't see how 3.0 would help.

@sun@shitposter.world @SuperDicq@minidisc.tokyo @Forestofenchantment@clubcyberia.co i found a listing on ebay and the rear of the box that noted reviews as late as 2001. USB 2 came out in 2000 which narrows things down.
@SuperDicq@minidisc.tokyo @Forestofenchantment@clubcyberia.co @sun@shitposter.world it's probably because, back when that came out, only a fair few PCs had USB 2.0 ports. The majority had older versions of the standard.
3.0 probably never even was a thing at that time
