I hate soyjak memes but if you use Obsidian please stop using proprietary software and install GNU Emacs (for org-mode).

@SuperDicq no
@grips @SuperDicq I've thought of using obsidian but i just make .md files, how does it work?
@mischievoustomato @SuperDicq literally .md files, with some extra syntax like [[Another document]] for an internal link. some people install a lot of fancy addons and make some unholy contraptions on top of that but it's pretty much just markdown with links
@mischievoustomato @SuperDicq I guess vimwiki would be the closest open source equivalent
@grips@cawfee.club @mischievoustomato@tsundere.love org-mode can all these things built-in into Emacs without any addons.

@coolbean@brain.worm.pink @grips@cawfee.club @phnt@fluffytail.org @mischievoustomato@tsundere.love SysV and SystemD have a consistent naming scheme. Each name refers to the amount of megabytes of ram you need to run it.

@SuperDicq @grips @coolbean @mischievoustomato 5MB and 500MB respectively seems accurate. Yet 8MB for emacs is certainly not accurate and never was.
