:agummythink: I've honestly been a little weary of substack ever since they censored "5 Nazi blogs," even though (or especially because) it seems like these blogs never really existed and the censorship was some kind of marketing tactic. @PurpCat did a pretty good post on it when it happened:

Still, I noticed Corbett Report started cross-posting on Substack recently. One of the recent posts I cited was on his website in full if you logged in, or you could view it in full on substack.

I've considered substack, but the reverse of that: publish three paragraphs with a read more -> link pointing back to my website.

@PurpCat @djsumdog i can't agree if your goal is to have a larger readership. for better or worse, there's plenty of people who read substack who would like to read the kind of posts that djsumdog posts, but they generally won't find his posts if they are on a self hosted website. I don't think crossposting these kinds of essays is a bad idea.
