@NoDoxGregBrady @vitalis I had a friend years ago that was going to film school. He was going to do a short film as a project and he asked me to read the script and critique it. It was a simple noir like cop murder mystery thing.
He would add overly descriptive details that were completely pointless. Like one cop in the story was a slob, and he walks up to the other cops at the crime scene, and he was wolfing down a burger.
But he made sure to let the reader know it was a Carl's Jr. double bacon cheeseburger blah blah blah complete with all the condiments.
He wasn't doing it ironically, like inserting product placement. I asked him why I needed to know all that? Just tell an interesting story.
