Except the Iranian Revolution raped and bastardized the land. Instead of trading oil for agro products they drained the ancient aquifers, and if "global climate change" is a fact the Iranian desert and mountains going to yield less water than Martian soil. Islam is living on borrowed time, and Islam IS an empire. Everyone assumes its only the US is in peril, but look at the EU and even China. The MSM keeps hiding facts. If China collapses it bring about supply-chain Armageddon - but when the US collapses everyone wins? My point is that the US is not the only "empire". If you are hedging your bets against the US sustaining or even recovering, you are controlled by your emotions.

We are debating empires, not religions. I was born in Hungary, and I can tell you about the collapse of the Mongol Empire - thanks in part to Hungary. Then the Ottoman Empire, Islam's Golden Age, beaten back again by Hungary and the Habsburgs.

The Islamic (Ottoman) empire is already long since gone, all that's left of Islam at this point is a religion, and those have exceedingly long lifespans.
