@Dagnar @Chzikken_1486 @All_bonesJones The "push to revoke the 2nd Amendment" is a nearly all of the 20th Century thing, after the post-War Between The States actions against freedmen. Sullivan Act in 1911, an Irish gangster trying to suppress ones from the newer Southern like Italian and Eastern European including Jews immigrant masses.

Prohibition in 1920 was a godsend for gangs, it was ended in 1933, and the next year brought the NFA, which almost effectively banned transfers of handguns. Not sure about the intervening years, but gun control on the ground really started getting going in the 1950s when laws against niggers from the first mentioned push became enforced against whites as well. "KKK states" with no legal means to carry concealed became so for all citizens.

Became a huge national issue in the 1960s, especially after JFK's assassination, since the Left wasn't about to admit one of their own killed him (and if you believe the CIA or Isreal did it, the same principle applies). Reached one peak in the 1970s, then the counter-revolution started in the 1980s due to the extreme excesses of ATF as sugar price supports ended moonshine as a business, and guys used to busting stills were sent after normies to brutalize.

We've only been grabbing back our ability to exercise the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (RKBA) since 1986-7, it's the one, single near complete failure of the Left in their culture warm. As of late the Blue states have been getting really extreme, and this is a particularly notable thing when election cheating like in Colorado illegitimately turns a Purple one into hard cord Blue "forever," see also Virginia probably.

The state of affairs today is as Lincoln said a couple of years before the War Between the States, "'"A house divided against itself, cannot stand.'

"I believe this government cannot endure permanently half slave and half free."

And of course it's a lot more than the RKBA going on, see debanking for example, but "the bullet box" is the ultimate recourse after the soap box. voting box, and jury box fail. Curiously, for some reason as far as I know a Leftist revolution has never really been tried against a very well armed citizenry....
