So they finally added a package manager to Windows, and it’s actually better than Chocolatey in that it downloads the latest version straight from devs’ websites instead of needing a package in a central repository to be updated, but of course this being microslop they insist on distributing it through their ass-backwards store backend even though this is NOT a mobile app, meaning it has to be installed per-user and can’t run in the system context, making it useless for sysadmins, and a standard user running an elevated PowerShell window can’t even see the executable at all.

@WandererUber Except even Linux has regressed so far in the last decade it’s not even funny. GNOME is actual cancer, if I wanted that sort of my-way-or-the-highway attitude from my PC I’d use a Mac. Which I did, except those niggers don’t even have USB ports, so it’s pick your poison!

No support from vendors. Windows can set an interface that they all have to conform to and they will do it. Linux can't. So hybrid graphics might break sometimes. Haven't had this problem because I don't buy laptops with graphics cards, so I can't say more.
