If anyone here roots for Spain over Argentina you're a scion of colonialism. It'd be like rooting for France over Senegal or Britain over Ireland.

The fundamental difference between the left and right in the global north is their preferred mechanism for controlling the global south. Some folks are partial to IMF loans and global grant programs and some enjoy planning coup d'etats and military occupation but there is fully no "side" of mainstream western politics that wants to leave us alone.
