I was able to try out the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold today. When closed it’s a little thinner than two stacked iPhone 17 Pro Max. When unfolded it is incredibly, impressively thin. The crease is far less noticeable on the larger panel even though there are two of them. It feels like a new coating is being used on the glass, and it’s much nicer.
The downfall occurs when you quickly realize that Android has never optimized for a tablet interface, and no apps make good use of the real estate. Samsung has built a feature that allows you to quickly tile three phone apps in a column view, but not sure how useful that would be in practice. 🤖🤖🤖👨🏻💻
