i once read about haloperidol being allegedly used as a(n overt) torture method in the USSR specifically because of its extrapyramidal side effects (this was a totally unsourced claim in a random book on pharmacology, so i have no interest in defending its veracity, but it stuck in my head)

ofc psychiatrists basically do this with extra steps, but it seemed like the claim was there being no clinical pretention about it
