@iwillbite Just get a xiaomi you'll get a way better phone for less money
@nerthos those phones do look nice but idk how easy it is to get here..
@iwillbite You can just get them on amazon or any big online store
@nerthos do you have one?
@iwillbite No I'm still on my 2019 samsung but several family members do and my next phone will be one.
@iwillbite You can get a stylus for any phone actually, they work with any screen.
@nerthos but this one inserts into the phone
@iwillbite How much are you going to overpay for "it inserts into the phone"?
@nerthos im willing to spend up to 2000 ๐
@iwillbite For $2000 you could get WAAAAAAY better than a samsung with a stylus.
@nerthos an iphone?
@iwillbite Lmao no those aren't even that good, they're the "I don't actually know luxury and think this is a ferrari" brand.
@nerthos I want a well known brand
@iwillbite Which is the samsung model you want?
@nerthos I was thinking the s27 next year. Iโm sure itโll look like the s26
@iwillbite Hmm the s26 is not really a bad phone if you can get it for like $700
Do you actually need the performance though? will you be doing switch emulation on it or something?

@iwillbite @nerthos bruh
>Get phone so powerful it can play recent AAA games
>Just text and youtube like everyone else
You can just get a refurb flagship phone from a few years ago for a fraction of the price at around 250-350$ CAD and usually even if it's just at condition "good", it looks almost new with a perfect screen or so. I put Graphene OS on it so I have updates for longer

my pixel 10 pro xl rattles when you shake it, apparently it's a camera stabilizer. ive never had a phone rattle like a childs toy before and it's very jarring to hear
@graf @coolboymew @iwillbite You can get one of those new for ~$450 https://store.google.com/us/product/pixel_10_pro?hl=en-US and it has a camera stabilizer, pretty good IMO
@nerthos @graf @iwillbite Wow, that's a pretty great price. Still USD tho, so my newest Pixel 7 Pro at 250$, that would be like 3 times the price in CAD
250? I bought my mom a pixel 8 for like 400 after taxes or whatever off amazon last november
@graf @nerthos @iwillbite I got lucky, they were like 350ish a year or so ago (I broke my screen like a dumbass after dropping it for the 2054823907th time)
It heavily depends on the model, site, etc. It's pretty random

after using samsung for like 10 years unironically the pixel is the best android phone even running stock. hardware is a little slower than samsungs offerings but everything is just..better
@graf @nerthos @iwillbite Samsung keeps pulling shady shit after shady shit, so I wanted to lay off from their stuff
Otherwise, Pixel phones not having 4120954 bootloader versions where if you want to put a custom OS, you need to have the one obscure Russian release (I checked once, it was quite literally that for the very common S6 I had back then. I am not exaggerating in the slightest), while it seems to NOT be a problem with Pixel phones somehow

@coolboymew @graf @nerthos @iwillbite android is so boring these days for me I'll switch up to an iphone next time i get a phone.
