Oh, and I also figured out why Ironfox quit working (it was DNS this time).

Stupid app maintainers enabled DNS over https by default, overriding current settings, in an update, without any notification or prompts. I MITM DNS on my network, with pihole, so I block DNS over https because I'm more concerned by ads tracking me than I am about my ISP seeing me browsing hentai.

Is this what they call a Free Software Award?

@prettygood your ISP is working with the ads company though, you can't have one without the other
Though I guess if you're using a pihole I think it should itself support doh
My router hosts a local doh redirector so to my devices it's a local IP but it's actually doh
