They've put more tonnage into space than every other government and private company. They also pushed forward JPL's plasma thruster development to a functional state after it had stalled out in the 90s.

Elon is 100% a grifter, but the stuff SpaceX is developing and the fact they are dragging NASA out of its 30 year planned decline is genuinely impressive.

@josh yes Starlink is part of SpaceX. Starlink is more important than all those other corps put together. SpaceX also handles the payloads for Starlink competitors. They own space right now.
