Probably an ignorant question but how well can AI write code and are there any ways to do so that are "offline" to keep said code proprietary.

I eagerly await being dragged for this.

1) better than most people if prompted right (just say TDD and small commits)
2) no unless you trusts openai/claude or have half a terabyte of vram for glm-5
