interesting effigy dated 1376.. the man holds his great helm to the side of his hip and appears to be sporting some seriously shredded ab definition. there is no record of knights wearing the muscle cuirasses of classical antiquity, but surely this guy is not exposing his bare midriff with nothing but a cloak on?? what do you guys think? 🤔

1to be fair the horns are totally contemporary to the period. but those abs on display seem like an anachronistic detail for sure
